ARTIST STATEMENT
"I'm a Cuban/American Artist whose inspiration and color relates to the emotions and messages of the island, even though I have been in exile most of my life. In my art work I express the cultural feeling of the Cuba I was born in; the mysticism of Yoruba and influences with emotions of Afro Cuban heritage together with the images of Le Revue Noir and Josephine Baker by Paul Colin.
The significance of my work is to transcend subconsciously a message of unity, equality, oneness, building consciousness, and awareness to the viewer.
The visual story takes us from canvas to canvas, in a trajectory of progression, from one work to the next. Not only building a story but also taking the viewer through a life path of growth as an individual."
